In The Garden

by Cecil Billingsley & Jeff Joslin

Matthew 26:36-46

I’m in the garden but I seek another way,
I want the prize but the price I cannot pay.
The enemy has gnawed his way inside my mind,
it all seems so real, what he’s promised me I’d find!

Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
I'm asleep here in the garden, and I'm running out of time!
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.

Lying in the garden, and Your sorrow fills me now,
I want to stay awake, but I'm weak and don't know how.
Wake me from this sleep, that I might watch for you,
I know I've lost my way, and I'm not sure what to do!

Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
I'm asleep here in the garden, and I'm running out of time!
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.

Why are we sleeping? Why do, we rest?
The time is come, the Father’s will be done.
The spirit willing, is not enough,
temptation is too much, too much for all, of us.

Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
I'm asleep here in the garden, and I'm running out of time!
Oh Lord, your will, not mine.
