Life Time

by Cecil Billingsley & Jeff Joslin

1 Peter 4:7

My life time is ticking away. Day into night, and night into day!

What shall I do now while I wait? What shall I do now while I wait?
How should I serve you, what can I do? How do I know that I’m following You?
I’ve been searching for my place in time. If I stop looking now what will I find?
What shall I do now while I wait? What shall I do now while I wait?

My life time is ticking away. Day into night, and night into day!

I hear your words and I know the stakes. I hear your words and I know the stakes!
The world’s lies have captured my flesh, my mind filled with hopelessness.
But I hear Your call and You give me rest. I turn to You in faithfulness.
I hear Your words and I know the stakes. I hear Your words and I know the stakes!

My life time is ticking away. Day into night, and night into day!

And when I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep!
And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord, my soul to take.

Not a second am I willing to waste. Not a second am I willing to waste!
Sleep calls, and I know that it’s late. Help me Jesus, to stay awake!
The truth I’m just beginning to see. Your gift of time is precious to me.
Not a second am I willing to waste. Not a second am I willing to waste!

My life time is ticking away. Day into night, and night into day!

Is this the time of Your return? Is this the time of Your return?
