Man from Nazareth

by Cecil Billingsley & Jeff Joslin

John 1:46 & Luke 23

Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?
He was crucified and buried now He’s risen, from the dead!

I don’t know just what to think, but that’s what people say.
He was sealed up in a tomb, but gone in just three days!

Have you heard the news? Have you heard the news?
Have you heard the news? Have you heard the news?

Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?
They say He could have saved Himself but took the, cross in-stead!

I’ve heard it said that some believe He was God’s own true son,
and in His final dying breath, He forgave everyone!

Have you heard the news? Have you heard the news?
Have you heard the news? Have you heard the news?

I’ve heard it said that no good comes from Nazareth.
But I heard this man healed and cleansed with what He said.

Preached love to all who heard Him speak!
Humbled the mighty and strengthened the weak,
strengthened the weak, strengthened the weak!

Have you heard the news? Have you heard the news?

Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?
I know He could have saved Himself but took the, cross in-stead!

I tell you all that I believe He was God’s own true son,
and in His final dying breath, He forgave everyone!

He died for you and me. He died for you and me!
He died for you and me. He died for you and me!

Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?
Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?
Have you heard the news about that man, from Naz-a-reth?

Have you heard the news?
