The message now is just the same.
Oh, the message now is just the same.
Yes, it’s just the same as it has always been,
as it has always been. Always been.
From those that kept the law down to those that hear His call,
The question that He answered was a message to us all.
So if you see your neighbor with no food upon the table,
And if you see your neighbor with no coat upon his back,
And when you see your neighbor with no food upon the table,
And no coat upon his back, No coat upon his back,
What good’s it gonna do when all you got to say is,
"Eat well, stay warm," then you turn and walk away?
The message now is just the same.
Oh, the message now is just the same.
Yes, it’s just the same as it has always been,
as it has always been. Always been.
You’ve got to love your neighbor just as you love yourself.
What you do for yourself, do for someone else.
It’s the little things you do that offer so much help.
Lend your hands to lift them up, and your feet to walk beside,
Give your wealth, and give your time. Wealth and time.
Love the Lord your God, with all your heart and mind,
And love your neighbor, love your neighbor, as you love yourself.
