And the people, they lined the streets. He rode on palms, laid at His feet.
Would be warriors celebrated, the crowd believed they’d been liberated,
and they shouted out, “Victory!” and hailed the one that we all call
the Prince of Peace.
Before you rise up from your knees, the sword of truth you plan to seize,
just be sure you’re not deceived, and find you’re at war,
with the one we call, the Prince of Peace.
And the crowds, they all went on home. And in the hall, He stood alone.
And went on in where Generals feast, and loudly boast about their deeds.
In silence He surveyed this place, as if He knew, the victory, of the one we call
the Prince of Peace.
Secure behind our shield of faith, we wield the sword that is His Word,
and hope that we are not deceived, and find we’re at war,
with the one we call, the Prince of Peace.
God has said, judgment is His, but the devil, will still roam free.
You must know a battle for our souls is waged unseen.
He seeks to end our lives, and to take our liberty.
But in truth, this battle’s won, not by sword, not by bomb or gun.
Who is the one who paid the price for victory?
He is the one, the one we call, the Prince of Peace.
As we rise up from our knees, out to slay our enemies,
we should be sure we’re not deceived, and find that we’re at war,
with the one we call, the Prince of Peace.
All hail the Prince of Peace.
